A late summer visitor and agreeable model. Even though the Mantis would have more opportunity to snatch up a meal on the outside of the window, she seemed content to perch on the rim of my paint-water glass while I sketched a portrait of, well, her. For I am an opportunist as well as an insectophile. We are both insectophiles, each in our own way.
